Legal
Privacy policy
We collect as little about you as we can. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and your rights.
This policy explains how Unbroken Protocol (“we”), the publisher of Unbroken Review, handles personal data. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The short version
- You can read everything on Unbroken Review without giving us any personal information.
- We do not use advertising trackers, sell data or share it with data brokers.
- If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address only to send it.
What we collect
Newsletter. If you subscribe to The Signal, we store your email address and the date you subscribed. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting us.
Messages. If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply and keep a record of corrections and tips.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running. These are retained for a limited period. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
Cookies
Unbroken Review does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce privacy-friendly analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers (our website host and, for the newsletter, an email service), who process data only on our instructions and under contracts that protect it. Some may store data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards are in place.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. Email privacy@unbrokenreview.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
